With an Executive MBA, a PhD in Molecular Biology, and a background in the medical device industry, Martin combines business skills and scientific understanding to offer a comprehensive and balanced perspective to your requirements. He has a proven history of building relationships through confident and credible communication built on detailed evidence based clinical, scientific, and economic market drivers.
During his 8 years at Smith & Nephew, Martin developed a deepunderstanding of product commercialisation and built a wealth of knowledge in business development, innovation, research & development, clinical strategy, and medical affairs. Prior to Smith & Nephew, Martin had a successful academic career at the University of Sussex and the Babraham Institute, Cambridge provided a springboard into business with a role as Head of Molecular Biology at PPL Therapeutics.
Karen holds a BSc (Hons) in Science and Technology and a diploma in Managing Medical Product Innovation. She has over 16 years’ experience within the medical device industry working predominantly within new product development, global project management and commercialisation. She has a proven ability to undertake thorough analysis, planning and execution of agreed deliverables.
As an experienced professional, Karen held a number of positions of increasing responsibility within several Smith & Nephew GlobalBusiness Units before gaining her introduction to consultancy trading as NPD Services where she successfully delivered project management consultancy to a number of large medical device companies and general consultancy to smaller organisations.
